Wavefront LASIK Eye Surgery

Wavefront Lasik eye surgery is a custom LASIK experience. Reshaping the cornea using three dimensional measurements of how your eye processes images gives patients a truly individualized vision experience. Traditional LASIK surgery in no provides the same customizable experience as the Wavefront LASIK procedure.

Many of the concerns surrounding LASIK involve the potential post LASIK complications some people experience. These complications include glare, halos and difficulty seeing at night. Wavefront LASIK surgery not only has the potential to improve your vision based on the standard 20/20 chart, but has the potential to improve the fine details and better contrast reducing the risk of post op complications associated with traditional LASIK.

The FDA gives strict guidelines as to who is a candidate for Wavefront LASIK. If you would like to know if you are a candidate, visit an eye surgeon in your area. If you aren’t sure where to look, Eye Surgery USA can help you find a qualified eye surgeon near you. Click here to begin your search for an eye surgeon and be on your way to better vision.

Correcting Your Vision with LASIK Laser Eye Surgery

There are many ways to correct imperfect vision. Many people opt for glasses and others for contact lenses. Both of these options are effective ways to correct less than perfect vision but both require daily effort be it putting on and taking off glasses or putting in contacts every day. For those that want to correct their vision but don’t want the daily step for better vision, LASIK eye surgery may be an option.

LASIK laser eye surgery is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that reduces and in most cases eliminates the dependency on vision assisted appliances such as glasses and contact lenses. LASIK permanently alters the shape of the cornea using an excimer laser. Traditional LASIK surgery involves your eye surgeon cutting a flap in the cornea allowing the laser to access the stroma. There are LASIK techniques that do not involve cutting.

LASIK laser eye surgery is not for everyone. A consultation with a certified eye surgeon will be needed to determine if you are a good candidate for LASIK eye surgery. As with any surgical procedure, there are risks and complications associated with LASIK eye surgery. Your eye surgeon will be sure to discuss these risks as well as give direction on how to reduce the chance of complications.
